EXPERIENCE
1998 - 2004 - House Keyboard player for BLACK 2 BASIC afro/funk/latin jam sessions attracting world reknowned session players.
2001 - 2003 - Lead Jazz Piano Trio for KATE DIMBLEBEY in her theatre tours of UK and Australia and NZ and runs at Edinburgh Festivals.
2001 - Wrote and produced "SOUNDSONGS" an original theatre piece for Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
2003 - 2008 - Played and arranged for EMI Italy's artist "Z-STAR" (rock/soul/world) including two albums and numerous Italian and UK shows.
2004 - Was resident musician for 'SixOfOne' Theatre company including the music for the critcally acclaimed devised piece "SKINLESS" - a burlesque cabaret.
2005 - Collaborated with Indian classical musicians from THE ART OF LIVING FOUNDATION includings recordings and performances at London's Bloomsbury Theatre and Wembley Arena.
2005-2007 - Musical Director and Producer for UK folk/world artist Bev Lee Harling including Germany tours and "Impossible Human" EP.
2007 - Released self-produced debut album "My Precious Life" as singer/songwriter.
2008 - Began collaborating with Fred Portelli SONY selected remixer for the last 6 BEYONCE singles. Now doing string arrangements for his new album.
2008/2009 - Wrote the music for director Mal Woolford's short films "REDBLACK" and "ARK" electronic and piano based.
2008 - Produced the music for CHANNEL 4 one-off drama "Thinspiration" (Mediaeval vocal/string score)
2008 - BBC NEW TALENT SONGWRITING FINALIST - 30 chosen from 10,000.
2009 - Put together my own project as artist - "JULIAN AND THE SUPER FANTASTIC BAND" (world/folk) running a monthly residency in North London and completing "The Precious Sessions EP".
2009 - Founded Finchley Youth Jazz String Orchestra as conductor/arranger.
2009 - Began work producing Olivia Safe demos for SARM management with co-producer Graham Archer (Trevor Horn's engineer)
2010 - Arranged the new version of 3Lions - 2010 England World Cup song, released May 2010 Polydor/EMI.
2010 - Began working for TREVOR HORN at Sarm Studios on projects as diverse as Sarah Brightman, Soundgirl and The Pierces
2010 - Worked with Don Black arranging and demoing new songs and on the revival of a musical written with Geoff Stephens.
2010 - Artist in Residence at KENSINGTON PALACE - conceived and directed Enchanted Palace Music Day.
2011 - Olivia Safe is signed to SONYArista on the strength of demos produced by Julian and Graham and work on her debut album begins with the guys as producers, and Trevor as Executive Producer.
2011 - Programming and keyboard credits for all tracks on SEAL's SOUL II Album, plus arranging/orchestrating and conducting on four tracks.
